We’ve seen this video before, but it was being featured on the Globo site again, which I figured was as good a excuse as any to post it here again. It’s the scene from Belíssima in which Pascoal (Reynaldo Gianecchini) is coerced into posing for pictures in his underwear. Undoubtedly one of Giane’s finest hour in the past year!

Last Sunday, the TV program “Fantástico” had a feature where they went backstage on the set of “Belíssima”. There’s a video clip online on the “Fantástico” web site which you can view for free: Últimas Edições Fantastico - Os bastidores de Belíssima. Giane only appears very, very briefly on this 7-minute clip, so I won’t be featuring it here.

I will, however, feature the video above, which is from Globo’s GMC. It’s an interview with Giane on the occasion of “Belíssima’s” end. I’m not sure, but it appears that he’s talking about his favorite scene in the telenovela.

Thanks to Ana from Rio for providing us with this video clip from the final episode of “Belíssima”! (Those of you who haven’t gotten a chance to watch “Belíssima” yet will want to beware of spoilers.) In this scene, Pascoal and Safira’s lovemaking literally makes the Earth move.

The final episode of “Belíssima” airs tomorrow, I think. I’ll try to get some videos of that episode, but in the meantime, enjoy these earlier scenes, taken via Globo Media Center.

First, from June 23: “Pascoal pede Safira em casamento! Jamanta pede a mão de Regina da Glória e Pascoal aproveita a diexa.” Jamanta asks for the hand of Regina da Glória, and Pascoal takes advantage of the situation to propose to Safira.

And a bit of skin, from June 30: “Mixou o carbureto! Pascoal falha na hora H quando Rebeca diz o nome de Safira.” I think this means, roughly, that Pascoal can’t perform in bed after Rebeca calls out Safira’s name. Guess even Giane can’t convert ‘em.

It’s the Dia dos Namorados (Sweetheart’s Day) in Brazil today. What better way to celebrate than with a couple of new videos from “Belíssima” that illustrate the vagaries of love?

In the first one, “Pascoal sofre com o beijo de Vitória e Gilberto. Ele chora e diz que não vai abrir a oficina, mas Jamanta o desperata com água fria!” (Pascoal suffers from the kiss between Vitória and Gilberto. He cries and says that he will not go to open the workshop, but Jamanta douses him with cold water! )

In the second video, “Vitória dá o fora em Pascoal. Ela explica que está gostando de Gilberto e agorao só quer a amizade do mecânico.” (Vitória rejects Pascoal. She explains that she loves Gilberto and only wants to be friends with the mechanic.)

Here’s another entertaining “Belíssima” video, via Globo Media Center and dated May 26. In this one, a beautiful woman manhandles an unwilling Pascoal (Reynaldo Gianecchini) in his garage — perfectly natural behavior, I would say; then Safira (Cláudia Raia) arrives, and Pascoal attempts to avoid being seen by her with the woman.
